The development includes a plantation of approximately 78,000 Kent mango trees, a research and development center, and a vocational training hub specifically targeting local youth and women.

During the foundation stone ceremony on September 19, 2026, National Assembly President Ousmane Sonko emphasized the project’s role in driving regional economic development and food sovereignty. Mané stated that the project is intended to be a collective effort for the local community, aiming to provide youth with opportunities to build futures in their own region. The development is expected to create at least 1,000 direct jobs initially, with long-term projections reaching up to 2,500 positions.

Following the groundbreaking, Mané met with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye to discuss the project's impact on local economic development. While government officials have expressed support, local leaders have emphasized the necessity of improved road infrastructure to ensure the complex's long-term success.
