Safety concerns reported in Polish forests following theft and explosive discovery

Two separate incidents involving public safety and property have been reported in Polish forests.

In the Kolbuszowa Forest District, officials reported the theft of a steel grate from a fire pit located near the Maziarnia educational trail. Foresters noted that the infrastructure was intended for the safe use of the recreational area by residents and tourists. They have appealed to the public for information regarding the perpetrator.

In Ostrów Wielkopolski, near Dębowa and Nowa Krępa streets, individuals discovered an object resembling a projectile or grenade during an evening walk. Local police secured the area and are awaiting a sapper unit to evaluate the item. Authorities reminded the public not to touch or move any suspicious objects found in forested areas, noting that the region has a history of military exercises and potential wartime remnants.
