SAGA Barcelona Game Fest to feature fictional game art exhibition

The SAGA Barcelona Game Fest will take place from October 9 to 11 at the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc venue. The event will feature the My Famicase Exhibition, which showcases 250 fictional Famicom cartridges. These items consist of custom labels designed by international artists, complete with imaginary histories and fictional publishing company logos.

Originating in Tokyo in 2005, the My Famicase Exhibition has grown to include nearly 4,000 works. While Japan and the United States provide the most participants, Spain ranks third, with 80 percent of Spanish entries created by Catalan artists.

Conrad Roset, the artistic director of Nomada Studio, has designed the official poster for the festival. The illustration aims to blend Barcelona's skyline with video game culture, incorporating references to various titles such as Journey, Cuphead, Sonic, and Hollow Knight.
