Sagarmanthan 2026 maritime dialogue convenes leaders in New Delhi

The third edition of Sagarmanthan: The Great Oceans Dialogue is taking place in New Delhi from October 7 to October 9. The event brings together more than 1,200 speakers, delegates, and participants from nearly 75 countries to discuss the future of the global maritime sector.

Co-hosted by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), the 2026 dialogue is themed ‘Blue Geographies, New Aspirations: Trade, Technology, and Trust at Sea’. The forum serves as a platform for policymakers, industry leaders, and multilateral organizations to address the blue economy, maritime logistics, ports, shipping, and coastal livelihoods.

The dialogue addresses challenges facing the maritime domain, including geopolitical tensions, climate stress, and technological disruption that impact the movement of trade, energy, food, and critical minerals. High-level attendees include ministers from Belgium, Mauritius, Bhutan, and Mozambique, among others.
