Sagent promotes Sridhar Sharma to CEO and Andrew Bon Salle to chairman

Mortgage technology firm Sagent has announced a leadership transition, promoting President Sridhar Sharma to Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, former Fannie Mae executive Andrew Bon Salle has been named chairman of the company’s board of directors.

These changes occur as Sagent focuses on the expansion of Dara, its cloud-based, AI-powered mortgage servicing platform. The platform utilizes an underlying AI engine called DaraIQ, designed to automate servicing workflows and compliance controls, allowing employees to focus on more complex borrower issues.

Sharma joined Sagent as president in early 2024 after spending approximately a decade at Mr. Cooper, where he led product, technology, and artificial intelligence initiatives. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s broader growth strategy and the continued implementation of the Dara platform among mortgage servicers.
