Saildrone registers first unmanned surface vehicles under Danish flag

Saildrone has registered its first four Voyager unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) under the Danish flag. This development, achieved in collaboration with the Danish Maritime Authority, establishes a regulatory framework for operating uncrewed vessels under a national flag, providing a foundation for international expansion and deeper integration with European customers.

The registration is intended to support maritime domain awareness, including monitoring illegal migration and cross-border crime. Saildrone is also scaling production for European clients, including military applications, and is working with partners in the Netherlands, Norway, and Poland to increase delivery capacity. The Royal Danish Navy is noted as playing a strategic role in securing maritime traffic routes.
