Saime launches online identity card renewal process in Venezuela

The Administrative Service of Identification, Migration, and Foreigners (Saime) has released a guide for Venezuelan citizens and registered foreigners to renew their identity cards through its official web portal.

The online process requires users to log in with their ID number and password, verify personal data, and update physical characteristics and birth information. Users must also register their current residential address within the system.

After confirming the data, the platform allows individuals to select a specific state, locality, and office, as well as a scheduled date from an available calendar. Once the appointment is booked, the system generates a form that must be presented in digital format on the day of the appointment.
