Saime updates Venezuelan passport fees and delivery options

The Administrative Service of Identification, Migration, and Foreigners (Saime) has detailed the current pricing and delivery options for Venezuelan passports. Costs are pegged to the daily Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) exchange rate and vary based on the applicant's age and the chosen delivery speed.

Ordinary passports, which are delivered within 8 to 15 business days, cost between $108 and $216. Specifically, children aged 0-2 pay $108, minors aged 3-17 pay $162, and adults pay $216.

Express 'habilitado' passports, which are delivered within 48 hours, range from $290 to $350. The rates for this service are $290 for children aged 0-2, $310 for minors aged 3-17, and $350 for adults.

Additionally, Saime allows for passport collection by third parties to assist individuals unable to attend offices in person. This service is limited to direct family members, such as parents, children, grandparents, aunts/uncles, or spouses, and requires specific documentation for verification.
