Saint-Louis Regional Hospital in Senegal inaugurates modernized maternity ward

The Saint-Louis Regional Hospital Center in northern Senegal has officially inaugurated its fully rehabilitated and modernized maternity ward. The project was funded and technically supported by the oil company bp and its partners from the Grand Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) gas project.

The renovation transformed the facility into a modern, functional space designed to meet contemporary neonatal medicine protocols. The upgrade includes a complete technical platform and advanced equipment intended to provide elite-standard healthcare to the local community. This initiative is part of bp’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which integrates community health alongside education and economic development in the region.
