Saint Mary's Invitational features collegiate cross country competition

The Saint Mary's College Invitational in Concord, California, featured competitive performances from several collegiate cross country teams.

Santa Clara University's women's team finished 11th overall with 342 points, ahead of San Jose State and Pacific. Aliyah Yearian led the Broncos, finishing 78th with a time of 22:22.9. The team saw significant participation from underclassmen, including several freshmen who placed in the top 100.

San Diego State University's Aztecs also competed in the event. Freshman Skylar Watts led the Aztecs with a 13th-place finish and a time of 21:06.6. Elliana Lomeli followed in 24th place with a personal best of 21:25.3. The meet was won by NCAA Division II ranked Chico State, while UC San Diego's Elle Marsyla took the individual title.
