Saint Michael Archangel pilgrimage draws 1,500 participants

Over 1,500 pilgrims are set to participate in the second pilgrimage of Saint Michael the Archangel, a journey spanning approximately 32 kilometers between Guarantã do Norte and Novo Mundo. The event is characterized by prayer, sacrifice, and fraternity.

The pilgrimage begins with a sending Mass at the Matriz Church of the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Parish. Participants, including families, youth, and elderly groups, will walk along the highway toward Novo Mundo. To support the walkers, organizers have established seven designated stopping points to provide rest, food, and assistance, ensuring that those walking at different paces can remain part of the collective experience.
