Saint-Sauveur and Mauguio kick off summer festivals in France

The commune of Saint‑Sauveur began its 41st edition of the traditional summer fête on the evening of 7 August, running through 9 August. Events include an opening reception, a cabaret dinner with a hypnotism show by Ronny Gan and a performance by Sébastien Laussier, a free choral concert, a dance demonstration, a musical set by Banda La Bodega and a final fireworks display.

Meanwhile, the town of Mauguio launched a nine‑day votive celebration from 8 August to 16 August. The programme features Camargue traditions such as abrivado, bandido, horse races, costume parades and a “Jourée à l’ancienne” with period costumes. A new Camargue ambassador was presented by the mayor, and a safety‑focused Poz’Alco service was provided for attendees.
