Saint-Tropez authorities alert public after wolf sighting

The municipality of Saint-Tropez has issued an alert following the sighting of a wolf in the Salins sector. While authorities state there is no immediate cause for alarm because the animal appears to flee from human presence, they have implemented active surveillance measures.

In coordination with the French Biodiversity Office and a hunting lieutenant, city services are conducting regular patrols and have installed photographic devices to monitor the animal's movements and habits.

Local authorities have advised residents and visitors to remain cautious. Specific recommendations include not attempting to approach or follow the wolf, avoiding feeding wild animals such as wild boars, ensuring trash containers are securely closed, and protecting poultry enclosures.
