Japan police arrest multiple suspects in fraud and robbery cases

Police in Japan have conducted several arrests related to various criminal activities, including fraud, stalking, and robbery conspiracy.

In Tokyo, Yusaku Yahiro (27) was arrested for his alleged role as a client in a robbery conspiracy in Machida. He reportedly instructed others to target a woman's home and use violence. Separately, a 43-year-old Chinese national was arrested in Ota, Tokyo, for attempted fraud after allegedly tricking a man into mailing his bank card and passbook under the guise of receiving government subsidies.

In other incidents, two men were arrested for allegedly leading a fraud group that swindled over 1.5 billion yen from approximately 1,000 people nationwide through fake side-job websites. In Niigata, a 40-year-old man was arrested for stalking a woman from Niigata to Nagaoka. Additionally, a 25-year-old man from Saitama was arrested for an ‘ore-ore’ fraud scheme that defrauded an 80-year-old woman in Joetsu of 4 million yen.

Authorities also issued warnings in Saitama Prefecture regarding suspicious individuals targeting middle school students.
