Six arrested in major drug and weapons bust in Sakarya, Turkey

Turkish police forces carried out coordinated raids in the Adapazarı and Arifiye districts of Sakarya province, targeting street-level drug dealers. The operations, led by the General Directorate of Security and the Sakarya Public Prosecutor’s Office, resulted in the seizure of large quantities of illegal substances and weapons, and the detention of six suspects.

Authorities recovered approximately 30 kg of synthetic cannabinoid precursor material, 19 packages of 3,800 dose‑impregnated synthetic cannabinoid papers, 37 g of methamphetamine, four packs totaling 28.65 g of additional synthetic cannabinoid, a precision scale, an unlicensed pistol with nine rounds, and cash amounting to 10,875 TL. The six men – identified as C.K. (37), A.K. (29), G.M. (40), K.K. (29), E.K. (42) and R.A. (40) – were taken into custody, processed by police, and sent to court.

Three of the detainees were found to have outstanding warrants for prior convictions, with sentences ranging from one to fourteen years. All six were formally charged with drug trafficking and other related offenses and were remanded to prison pending trial.
