Saladillo and Quilmes advance municipal infrastructure projects
Municipalities in Argentina are advancing local infrastructure projects through various funding and equipment acquisitions. In Saladillo, the Ente Vial Descentralizado introduced a new motor grader to its fleet. The machinery was acquired via a 690 million peso leasing agreement with Banco Provincia. Officials noted that the fleet also includes two backhoes, two shovels, and six trucks, aimed at improving rural road maintenance following recent heavy rains.
In Quilmes, provincial deputy Mayra Mendoza highlighted ongoing paving works in Villa La Florida. The project involves 17 new asphalt blocks funded entirely by the municipality. Mendoza stated that the administration has already completed 1,300 paved blocks and aims to reach a total of 1,600 under the 2025/2027 management plan.
Additionally, in the Polvaredas delegation, authorities presented a new motor grader and inaugurated natural gas services at the Renacer Retiree Center. Other local initiatives include the 'Huerta en Casa' program, which provides agricultural training and seeds to residents.
