Salamanca Police announce security measures for 2026 Fairs

The Salamanca Local Police have announced a reinforced surveillance and patrolling plan for the 2026 Fairs and Festivals. Security measures will focus on high-density areas, particularly the entrances to the Plaza Mayor, which will be monitored several hours before concerts begin.

Strict access regulations will be enforced in the Plaza Mayor, including prohibitions on glass containers, cans, large bags, backpacks, and pyrotechnics. Alcohol consumption in public spaces is prohibited, and only plastic water bottles without caps (up to 0.5 liters) are permitted.

To support attendees, the city will provide a 'violet point' for assistance and dedicated spaces for wheelchair users. The Feria de Día will take place from September 4 to 15 across five city zones.
