Salesian Summer Youth Programs in Italy Engage Over 150 Children

The Salesian Oratory of San Francesco in Terni ran its "Estate Ragazzi" program from June 9 to July 31, 2026, serving more than 100 children and teenagers. Daily activities from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. included sports, workshops, study sessions and a mountain camp at Casa Don Bosco in Polino, supported by 70 animators and volunteers.

Meanwhile, the Pier Giorgio Frassati Oratory in Cantalupa hosted its own summer program from June 15 to July 10, 2026. Around 50 participants attended weekly sessions guided by eight permanent animators, with themed activities based on cartoons and several outings to local farms, a biopark and a water park. A final communal dinner on July 10 brought together about 120 guests.

Both initiatives aim to provide an educational and recreational environment rooted in the Salesian tradition of friendship, teamwork and spiritual growth for young people in the region.
