Sali Berisha demands resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama

Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, has issued a demand for Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign. Berisha stated that the opposition will continue to support ongoing student protests regardless of any actions taken by the government, the police, or state services.

In a media statement, Berisha warned the Prime Minister against provocations, asserting that such tactics would not diminish the Democratic Party's total support for the protesters across Albania. Berisha compared the potential political outcomes for Rama to those of former leaders, suggesting the Prime Minister should choose to step down rather than face a forced removal.
