Salland hosts regional art market and water‑sustainability café event

The Kunst‑ en Streekmarkt Raalte, held every second Saturday from June to September in the town of Raalte, showcases a wide range of locally produced crafts and artworks from Salland makers. Visitors can sample foods such as strawberries, jam, cheese and fish, and view paintings, ceramics and other pieces displayed in the church. Art‑and‑antique expert Bart Schaftenaar offered on‑site dating and appraisal of a single item per visitor.

On 26 June, the Kracht van Salland organised the Salland Café Water at Van Remmen in Boerhaar. The half‑day program targeted agricultural entrepreneurs, residents and organisations, presenting talks, workshops and excursions on water‑saving, soil improvement and innovative water‑treatment technologies. Participants toured the Vitens drinking‑water extraction area and the Van Remmen UV Technology plant, and the event concluded with remarks from deputy Martijn Dadema.
