Salman Khan and Being Human Foundation issued court notices in franchise dispute
A Chandigarh court has issued notices to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and the Being Human Foundation regarding an alleged franchise dispute. The notices were issued by the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Dr. Ambika Sharma under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
The case, titled Arun Gupta Vs Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt. Ltd., involves allegations of fraud related to opening a Being Human brand jewelry showroom in the Mani Majra area. The complainant, local businessman Arun Gupta, alleges that promises made regarding the showroom were not fulfilled, resulting in financial losses.
In addition to the Khan family and the foundation, the court has issued notices to directors of Style Quotient Jewellery Private Limited, Santosh Srivastava and Prasad Bindu Madhav Kapde. The court has requested responses to the complaint, and the next hearing is scheduled for October 5, 2026.
