Salta and Jerez municipal councils approve recognitions and updated budget plan

In Salta, Argentina, the city council approved eight resolutions that honor local cultural, sports and communication personalities and declare several initiatives of municipal interest. The recognitions include artist Claudia Vilte, educator Antonio Ariel Figueroa, musician Héctor Adolfo Campos (Ringo Santana), and broadcasters Carola Llimós and Daniel Díaz. The council also endorsed the International Summit on Well‑being, a sustainable‑fashion and environmental art project, a blood‑donation campaign and the first civic‑military parade in the western zone.

In Jerez, Spain, the city council voted to update its municipal adjustment plan, a prerequisite for a new €24.6 million loan that will settle pending invoices for the council and affiliated bodies. The plan projects net savings, a modest rise in financial debt through 2027, and outlines continued fiscal measures to contain spending and boost revenues.
