Salta Cathedral unveils new LED ornamental lighting

The Municipality of Salta has completed a comprehensive renovation of the ornamental lighting system for the Salta Basilica Cathedral. The project utilizes new LED technology and projectors designed to highlight the architectural details of the facade without making invasive structural changes, respecting its status as a National Historic Monument.

The technical work involved replacing obsolete and deteriorated electrical installations with new wiring, control panels, and junction boxes. Due to the height of the building, which reaches approximately 40 meters, large-scale lifting equipment was required to install the new luminaires and prepare various surfaces.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to enhance public spaces and heritage sites. The new lighting is intended to improve the city's nighttime visual appeal, particularly in preparation for the upcoming celebrations of the Milagro de Salta, which are expected to draw numerous visitors to the city center.
