Salta commemorates 1948 earthquake and religious festivities

The city of Salta is observing religious commemorations and historical anniversaries. The bells of the Cathedral rang to honor the memory of the 1948 earthquake, a magnitude 7.0 Richter scale event centered in Metán that significantly impacted the province. Father Marcos Cepeda shared a message of faith and protection during the commemoration.

In conjunction with these cultural observances, the Municipality of Salta has announced special traffic operations for Friday and Saturday. Due to the 'Milagrito de los Niños' and 'Milagro de la Infancia y Catequesis' celebrations near the Cathedral, several street closures and filters will be implemented in the city center, including San Martín, Buenos Aires, Urquiza, and Córdoba. Authorities recommend using alternative routes during these ceremonies.
