Salta expands international tourism promotion in Uruguay and Brazil

The province of Salta, Argentina, is intensifying its international tourism promotion through strategic business rounds in Uruguay and Brazil.

In Montevideo, a public-private delegation held a workshop for travel agencies, operators, and specialized media to strengthen the province's presence in the Uruguayan market. Romina Flamini, president of Inprotur Salta, noted that Uruguay has been a historical market for the region for over two decades.

Simultaneously, Minister of Tourism and Sports Manuela Arancibia led a presentation in Rio de Janeiro titled ‘Destino Salta en Río’. This mission aims to capitalize on a new direct flight connection provided by GOL Linhas Aéreas, which is scheduled to begin operating twice weekly between Rio de Janeiro and Salta starting December 17. The new route is expected to boost arrivals from Brazil, which is currently Salta's primary foreign tourism market. Officials reported that seats for the inaugural flight are already nearly sold out.
