Salta pilgrimage organizers begin logistics for Milagro festivities
Organizers of the traditional Milagro pilgrimage in Salta, Argentina, have begun logistical preparations and donation drives to support participants traveling to the Cathedral.
The Peregrinos de la Puna organizing committee has opened registrations and is requesting donations of medical supplies, such as gauze and anti-inflammatories, as well as non-perishable food and beverages. To facilitate easier cooking during the trek, some food items like rice and bread are being pre-toasted.
In Cafayate, the Caminantes de Cafayate group reports that preparations are approximately 70% to 75% complete. Coordinator René Zambrano highlighted an urgent need for a truck to transport luggage and mattresses, noting that renting a vehicle would cost between 2 and 2.5 million pesos. The group has also emphasized road safety measures, requiring walkers to use reflective vests, flashlights, and cones to ensure security during the journey.
