Saltillo to implement road closures for Maratón La Moderna

The Maratón Saltillo La Moderna 2026 is scheduled for this Sunday, resulting in significant road closures across Saltillo, Coahuila. The Comisaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana has announced that street closures will begin at 4:50 a.m., and officials urge citizens to plan ahead and use alternative routes.

Commissioner Miguel Ángel Garza Félix stated that roads will reopen progressively as the final runners pass. A security and traffic deployment will involve municipal police, transit officers, police academy cadets, and volunteers covering more than 400 points, including major intersections.

The 42.195-kilometer course starts and ends at Parque Centro on Bulevar Galerías. The route includes several major thoroughfares such as Bulevar Venustiano Carranza, Bulevar Pedro Figueroa, Bulevar Eulalio Gutiérrez Treviño, and Periférico Luis Echeverría, passing near the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Museo del Desierto.
