Salto Government expands mental health listening service to public

The Government of Salto has expanded its ‘Espacio de Escucha’ (Listening Space) mental health initiative to the general public. Originally launched as a service for municipal workers, the program now offers psychological orientation and listening services to all citizens through pre-scheduled appointments.

The service aims to provide an initial point of contact for mental health concerns, offering professional guidance and information regarding available resources and potential care pathways. The initiative is staffed by two licensed psychologists who conduct initial interviews to help individuals navigate the mental health system.
