Salto launches climate action fund for youth projects
The Government of Salto has launched the 2026 call for the Youth and Climate Action Fund, an initiative designed to support environmental projects led by young people aged 15 to 24. Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the program aims to transform youth-led ideas into concrete actions to address local environmental challenges.
Selected projects can receive funding ranging from USD 1,000 to USD 5,000. Proposals must align with one of four thematic areas: environmental education and awareness, green infrastructure and reforestation, sustainable agriculture and food systems, or sustainable waste management.
To participate, applicants must have the endorsement of their educational institution. The government's Innovation and Development Unit will provide technical assistance and advisory services to help participants develop and present their proposals according to the required standards.
