Saltwound releases new single ‘Pound of Flesh’ featuring Ringo Waterman

Sacramento-based deathcore band Saltwound has released a new standalone single titled ‘Pound of Flesh’ via SharpTone Records. The track features a guest vocal appearance by Ringo Waterman of the band Mugshot.

Following their 2024 debut album, The Temptation of Pain, the new song continues the band’s blend of deathcore and metalcore. Vocalist Spencer Timmons stated that the song explores the theme of people attempting to take something from others, whether motivated by love, hate, or self-interest.

The release is accompanied by a new music video. Saltwound is scheduled to begin the Death Coast ’26 tour with Cultist later this month.
