SALTWOUND releases new single ‘Pound of Flesh’ featuring Ringo Waterman

Sacramento-based deathcore band SALTWOUND has released a new standalone single titled ‘Pound of Flesh’ via SharpTone Records. The track features a guest appearance by Ringo Waterman of the California band MUGSHOT.

Following their 2024 debut full-length album, The Temptation of Pain, the new release continues the band’s ‘Norcal Violence’ sound, blending deathcore and metalcore with heavy grooves and thick riffs. Vocalist Spencer Timmons described the lyrical themes as a cynical examination of human relationships, noting that ‘Everybody just wants to take a chunk out of you for themselves.’

The release is accompanied by a music video. SALTWOUND is scheduled to perform on their ‘Death Coast ’26’ tour with CULTIST in late August.
