Salvador's SAC do Empreendedor reopens at Mercado São Miguel

The municipal SAC do Empreendedor in Salvador has returned to its original location at Mercado São Miguel in the Baixa dos Sapateiros. After operating temporarily at the Simm building, the service resumed on Monday, 13 July, and will be open Monday‑Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The move is presented as a strategic effort to qualify the historic market area and boost daily foot traffic. Secretary of Economic Development, Employment and Income Mila Paes said the return “reinforces the market’s vocation as an important hub for services, commerce and economic development.” Director of Entrepreneurship Maylla Pita highlighted that the centre now gathers multiple municipal agencies—Semdec, Semop, Sedur and Sefaz—providing entrepreneurs with free, one‑stop assistance for business planning, formalization, licensing, tax reporting and training.

The SAC offers a full portfolio for local entrepreneurship, including consultancy, MEI formalization, licensing, DAS printing and qualification courses. It aims to streamline processes, improve access to credit and public contracts, and support the sustainability of small firms.
