Samajwadi Party leader Pawan Kumar Yadav shot dead in Prayagraj

Pawan Kumar Yadav, a district secretary for the Samajwadi Party and former village head, was shot and killed in the Hundia area of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when Yadav arrived in Hundia town by car. After spending time at a local cafe, he returned to his vehicle in the Karmanasha neighborhood. As he was preparing to sit in his car, three assailants on a motorcycle approached him. One of the attackers fired a shot that struck Yadav in the back.

Despite being rushed to Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The attackers, two of whom were reportedly wearing helmets, fled the scene on their motorcycle. Local police have launched an investigation, utilizing CCTV footage to identify the suspects and investigating potential motives or prior enmities.
