Samantha Busch discusses Kyle Busch legacy and past arrest

Samantha Busch has returned to her podcast, ‘Certified Oversharer’, following the death of her husband, NASCAR legend Kyle Busch. Busch passed away on May 21 due to hemorrhagic shock caused by a sepsis infection.

During the episode, Samantha shared details regarding Kyle’s legacy plans, including a proposal to establish August 18 as ‘National Kyle Busch Day’. The date combines his former racing numbers, 8 and 18. Other goals include launching a traveling interactive exhibit at NASCAR events and creating a ‘truck of chances’ to provide racing opportunities for financially struggling young drivers.

Samantha also reflected on a 2023 incident in Mexico where Kyle Busch was detained at an airport after a handgun and ammunition were found in his luggage. He was sentenced to over three years in jail and fined $1,000 but was permitted to leave the country after paying a bond. Samantha noted that during his detention, Busch reportedly attempted to seek truck sponsorships from fellow inmates.
