Sambhal schools closed due to heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh

Due to continuous heavy rainfall and inclement weather in Uttar Pradesh, the district administration in Sambhal has declared a one-day holiday on September 7 for all schools and madrasas from classes 1 to 12. The order, issued by District Basic Education Officer Alka Sharma under the direction of District Magistrate Ankit Khandelwal, applies to all boards, including government-run, private, and recognized institutions.

Heavy rains have caused waterlogging in several areas, affecting local transportation. Authorities have instructed school principals and managers to ensure strict compliance and to communicate the closure to parents and students.

Additionally, a red alert has been issued for Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Pilibhit districts. The weather department warns of potential lightning and extremely heavy rainfall in these regions, advising residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel, particularly in low-lying or flooded areas.
