In early September, the Sambhal district administration ordered a one-day holiday for all schools and madrasas from classes 1 to 12 due to continuous heavy rain and waterlogging. At that time, weather authorities also issued red alerts for Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Pilibhit, warning of potential lightning and extremely heavy rainfall.
