SAMEEP completes water infrastructure connection in Chaco

SAMEEP and its contracted UTE have completed the definitive connection between the Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña pumping station and Avia Terai. This project is a strategic component of the Segundo Acueducto del Interior, designed to strengthen the distribution of potable water across various branches of the system.

The infrastructure upgrade involved replacing a 450-millimeter PEAD pipe with a 900-millimeter steel pipe, effectively doubling the diameter and significantly increasing water transport capacity. This improvement will optimize conduction and distribution for several towns, including Avia Terai, Concepción del Bermejo, Pampa del Infierno, Los Frentones, Campo Largo, Corzuela, Las Breñas, Charata, General Pinedo, and Hermoso Campo.

Nicolás Diez, president of SAMEEP, stated that the project replaces a provisional connection with permanent infrastructure capable of meeting both current and future demand in the provincial interior. Mario Ropelato, general coordinator of the Second Aqueduct, added that the work allows for a more efficient pumping scheme toward the system's various branches.
