Sampo plc completes €350 million share buyback in week 31, 2026

Finnish financial group Sampo plc announced that it repurchased its own A shares during week 31 (27 – 31 July 2026) on several European exchanges, including Nasdaq Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen and the London Stock Exchange. The total volume amounted to 77,065,111 shares at a weighted average price of about €9.65 per share, representing 0.76 % of the company’s outstanding shares and bringing its holding to 20,185,860 A shares.

The buyback programme, authorised by Sampo’s Annual General Meeting on 22 April 2026 and launched on 7 May 2026, allows for purchases up to €350 million in compliance with the EU Market Abuse Regulation (EU 596/2014) and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU 2016/1052). Details of each transaction were provided in an appendix to the announcement.
