Turkish municipalities expand service capacity with new vehicle fleets

Didim Municipality reported that savings from its budget have been used to purchase a series of new work machines. Mayor Hatice Gençay said the equipment will be deployed across the city for road work, environmental upkeep, park maintenance and cleaning, increasing the speed and efficiency of municipal services.

In Çorum, the municipal council invested roughly 83 million Turkish lira to add 13 new vehicles and machines, including several modern garbage trucks, a dozer, an asphalt‑frosting machine and other service vehicles. The delivery ceremony held in front of the city's historic Clock Tower was attended by the provincial governor, the mayor and local officials, who highlighted the expected improvement in infrastructure and public‑service quality.
