Turkey reports multiple fires and flooding incidents

Multiple fire and flood incidents have been reported across various regions in Turkey. In Antalya's Kepez district, a wildfire in a shrubland area spread rapidly due to wind, threatening nearby residential buildings and shanties. Local residents used hoses and buckets to help prevent the flames from reaching homes while emergency services, including the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, AFAD, and police, worked to bring the blaze under control.

In Sinop's Türkeli district, heavy rainfall caused a stream to overflow after trees from nearby pond maintenance work blocked a culvert. The flooding damaged a barn and haystack, resulting in the death of 32 poultry animals. Two elderly women were trapped in their home but were rescued by gendarmerie and AFAD teams and subsequently moved to a hotel.

In Malatya's Darende district, a fire broke out in the wheels of a truck transporting both new and used vehicles. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames before they could spread to the cargo, preventing damage to the automobiles.
