Samsung addresses TV channel access issues following Türksat update

Following a technical transition on the Türksat 3A satellite on August 16, many television users in Turkey experienced issues accessing channels or managing channel lists. The change has caused difficulties for users, particularly those less familiar with technology.

Samsung Electronics Türkiye addressed the backlash on social media, stating that they are working continuously to ensure a seamless television experience. The company confirmed that technical solutions and support options are ready for users experiencing issues, and they are directing customers to updated installation steps via the Samsung Turkey support page.

For devices supporting the Türksat Channel Update System (TKGS), channel lists should update automatically without manual intervention. However, older generation receivers without TKGS support may require manual frequency settings to restore access. Recommended manual settings include using the Türksat 42°E satellite with Universal LNB settings (9750/10600 MHz) and specific frequencies such as 12380 V 27500 or 12423 H 30000.
