Samsung and NC showcase 3D Spatial Signage at Tokyo Game Show 2026
Samsung Electronics and NC showcased 3D Spatial Signage technology at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 to bring characters from the upcoming fantasy RPG, Astrae Oratio, into the physical world.
Using Samsung’s 3D Plate technology, the installation created a vivid sense of depth without the need for specialized 3D glasses. At the NC booth, an 85-inch display integrated into an elevator-themed installation presented characters at a near life-size scale. Additionally, 32-inch displays were utilized in waiting areas to maintain visitor engagement.
The technology is designed with a slim profile—approximately 52mm for the larger displays—to allow for easier installation and integration into various environments. Yongsoo Lee, head of NC’s Astrae Oratio business division, stated the goal was to allow visitors to face characters at life-size scale to feel immersed in the game's world. Samsung has previously deployed this signage in other settings, such as Everland Safari World in South Korea.
