Samsung and NC 3D signage demonstration

Overview

Samsung Electronics and game developer NC showcased 3D Spatial Signage technology at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 in Chiba, Japan. The demonstration utilized Samsung’s 3D Plate technology to create glasses-free 3D displays, allowing characters from the upcoming fantasy RPG, Astrae Oratio, to appear at a near life-size scale within physical environments.

The installation featured 85-inch screens integrated into an elevator-themed setup to create an illusion of depth, alongside 32-inch displays in waiting areas. The technology is designed with a slim profile of approximately 52mm for larger displays to facilitate easier installation. Yongsoo Lee, head of NC’s Astrae Oratio business division, noted the goal was to allow visitors to feel immersed by facing characters at a life-size scale.
