Samsung opens new HVAC manufacturing facility in Pune, India

Samsung Electronics has completed a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, operated by its subsidiary FläktGroup. The 13,826-square-meter plant was established in approximately six months and is designed to meet the rising demand for cooling infrastructure in AI data centers and large commercial buildings.

Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce up to 6,500 HVAC units annually. The product lineup includes air handling units (AHUs), fan wall units (FWUs), and computer room air handlers (CRAHs), which are essential for managing high-density heat in server environments.

Strategically located near Mumbai, the Pune plant will serve as a production hub for both the Indian market and the broader Asia-Pacific region, working alongside FläktGroup’s existing site in Noida. Kim Cheol-gi, Executive Vice President and Head of Samsung’s Digital Appliance Business, stated that the facility marks a milestone in expanding HVAC supply capabilities by combining Samsung’s AI and platform technologies with FläktGroup’s specialized expertise.
