Samsung Electronics expands appliance subscription to B2B and specialized consumer segments

Samsung Electronics is expanding its appliance subscription business by launching new B2B services and segmenting consumer offerings for specific demographics. Following the introduction of its ‘Blue Pass’ care service last September, the company’s subscription revenue is nearing 1 trillion won.

The new B2B Samsung AI subscription targets institutions such as public housing, dormitories, hotels, hospitals, and financial facilities. This model aims to reduce initial capital expenditure for businesses by converting large appliance purchases into manageable operating costs. B2B clients will receive specialized support, including up to six years of free after-sales service, time-customized intensive care, and 48-hour emergency response services.

For individual consumers, the company is rebranding its ‘AI Subscription Club’ to ‘Samsung AI Subscription’ and introducing tailored packages. The ‘Newlywed Pass’ is designed for single-person households and newlyweds, offering services like post-move appliance inspections and customized cleaning schedules. The ‘Easy Care Pass’ assists senior citizens through regular guidance calls regarding product usage and consumable replacements. Additionally, a ‘Visit Care Lite’ option will be introduced in November to offer lower monthly fees by reducing the frequency of professional technician visits.
