Samsung Electronics unveils EHS heat pump solutions at Green Hydrogen Forum
Samsung Electronics is showcasing its next-generation residential heating and cooling electrification solutions at the 2026 Green Hydrogen Global Forum held at the Jeju International Convention Center. The company is presenting its Eco Heating System (EHS) technologies, specifically the ‘EHS All-in-One’ and the ‘EHS Heat Pump Boiler’.
The ‘EHS All-in-One’ utilizes a single outdoor unit to provide cooling, floor heating, and hot water. It features a heat recovery function that repurposes waste heat from the cooling process to produce hot water, enhancing energy efficiency. To reduce environmental impact, the system uses R32 refrigerant, which has a global warming potential approximately 68% lower than the standard R410A.
The ‘EHS Heat Pump Boiler’ is designed for extreme weather, capable of providing stable heating even at temperatures as low as -25°C. It utilizes high-efficiency refrigerant compression technology to supply hot water up to 70°C in temperatures as low as -15°C. Both systems support remote monitoring and control via the SmartThings app.
Samsung is expanding its domestic presence by establishing a dedicated production line for the EHS Heat Pump Boiler at its Gwangju plant and conducting real-world testing in Jeju and at the Samsung C&T residential research institute.
