Samsung ends software support for Galaxy A23 and A04s models

Samsung has officially ended software and security support for several budget smartphone models, including the Galaxy A23 5G, Galaxy A23 4G, and Galaxy A04s. These devices have been removed from the company’s official security update list.

The Galaxy A23 4G model lost support earlier this year, followed by the 5G variant. The Galaxy A04s has also reached the end of its lifecycle. Most of these devices reached their final major operating system version with Android 14.

While the phones remain functional for basic tasks such as messaging, calling, and internet browsing, the lack of ongoing security patches means they will no longer receive fixes for newly discovered vulnerabilities. This increases the risk of malware, data theft, and other cyber threats, as security holes identified by Google or Samsung will remain unpatched on these specific models.
