Samsung Galaxy updates iPhone pricing memory chip shortage One UI 9 Android 17

Samsung is experiencing delays in the rollout of its August security updates for various Galaxy devices. While the updates were initially released for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Flip 8, most other users have yet to receive them.

One primary reason for the delay is the ongoing development of One UI 9 and Android 17. Samsung has noted that regular OS upgrades can cause delays to planned security updates. However, the company has assured users that the upcoming OS upgrades will include the necessary up-to-date security patches upon delivery.

Additionally, Samsung is working on a specific update for the Galaxy S26 Ultra to improve screen color reproduction, which may also be contributing to the slower deployment across the Galaxy S26 series.
