Samsung Galaxy phones face end of software support
Several Samsung Galaxy smartphone models are approaching or have already reached the end of their official software support windows. While Samsung has implemented long-term support policies for newer flagship devices—promising up to seven years of operating system and security updates—older models from 2021 and 2022 are losing these benefits.
Devices nearing the end of their support cycles include the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and various models in the S22 and A53 series. As these devices reach their limits, users will no longer receive major One UI releases, Android upgrades, or monthly security patches. Although the hardware remains functional, the lack of security updates may impact device safety and software compatibility over time.
