Samsung Galaxy SmartTag3 introduces iOS compatibility
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy SmartTag3, a new generation of its tracking device. The updated model features a smaller size and improved battery life, offering up to 790 days of autonomy in power-saving mode.
A significant update for this product line is its compatibility with both Galaxy devices and iOS. Through SmartThings Find, users can locate and share the position of items such as keys or luggage. This allows for cross-platform utility, such as a person using an iPhone being able to locate a shared item.
However, certain features are platform-dependent. While location sharing is available on iOS, functions such as Compass View, phone notifications, and Forget Alerts are not supported on Apple devices. Availability of other features may vary based on the specific device, market, and platform.
